Protecting your privacy is important to Republic Bank and our employees. We want you to understand what information we collect and how we use it. Republic Bank is committed to maintaining your privacy and safeguarding your account, transactions and personal information. The following policy serves as a standard for Republic Bank employees for collection, use, retention and security of nonpublic personal information.

The Information That We May Collect
In the normal course of business, Republic Bank will collect, retain, and use "nonpublic personal information" about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms.
  • Information about your transactions with us.
  • Information about your transactions with other parties.
  • Information from a consumer reporting agency.

"Nonpublic personal information" is nonpublic information about you that we obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. We only obtain "nonpublic personal information" when it is necessary, and allowed by law, for Republic Bank to conduct the business of the bank. Based on this information, we may occasionally choose to inform you of additional Republic Bank services that may be of interest to you.

Keeping Your Information Accurate
Republic Bank has established procedures to ensure that the financial and personal information you provide us is accurate, current and complete. Should you notify us of any errors or changes in your information, we will promptly correct or update it. For your safety and the safety of your information, you may be asked for additional personal information that can properly identify you to us, or we may ask you to present your request in a particular manner (i.e. in writing). Any request of this nature is solely for your protection and the protection of your confidential information.

Confidentiality, Security and Integrity of Your Nonpublic Personal Information
Republic Bank maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information. Employees of Republic Bank are not permitted to use or disseminate any private customer information for any reason other than what is required for the normal performance of their job. Republic Bank thoroughly informs and trains its employees on the importance of confidentiality of customer privacy. Republic Bank maintains internal controls that monitor employee access to customer information and any employee found to be in violation of the bank’s policies is disciplined immediately.

Keeping Your Information Private
Information about your Republic Bank accounts and other transactions is private. Republic Bank does not disclose any nonpublic personal information with non-affiliated third parties (a nonaffiliated third party is a company that is not an affiliate of ours). The only exceptions to this policy are:

  • The information is needed to help complete a transaction you initiated.
  • You request that we share the information.
  • We are required to disclose by law (i.e. subpoena, judicial process, etc.)

Republic Bank does not sell its customer list nor does it make this information available for any reason. Sometime in the future, however, Republic Bank may decide there is value to you in sharing information with a nonaffiliated third party for the purpose of marketing products or services. In that event, you will be informed, in advance of Republic Bank’s decision and given the opportunity to decline (“opt out”) to receive such materials.

Our policies regarding the collection,disclosure, and disposal of information about former customers are the same as those regarding the collection, disclosure, and disposal of information about existing customers. If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will not disclose nonpublic personal information.

In the normal course of business, Republic Bank may exchange customer information with legitimate information reporting agencies. This is done to maximize the accuracy and security of your information.

In order to offer you the broadest possible range of financial services, Republic Bank establishes and maintains relationships with third party vendors. Before Republic Bank will establish a relationship with any vendor, however, that vendor must agree to comply with the same, or similar privacy principles as they relate to you and your personal information.
